For nearly forty years, the late Mr. Peskind served as a trusted legal advisor for a broad range of clients, helping them with complex real estate and commercial transactions and disputes, both nationally and in Arizona. In addition to his keen understanding of real estate and commercial legal issues, EJ knew business from the inside out - he was an active real estate developer in the Valley, and served for ten years as general counsel for a major Phoenix-based real estate development company. A distinguished, veteran litigator, EJ approached his service to clients from a sophisticated tactical and strategic vantage point, as he helped them overcome legal challenges and positioned them to avoid future conflicts.

E.J. started his career in Chicago at McDermott, Will & Emery, one of the nation's largest law firms. Although he credited this preeminent firm with helping him hone his skills, EJ believed strongly in the "new model" of a lean, responsive law firm that could supply clients with the personal services of experienced, effective attorneys in a cost-effective manner.

E.J. authored Arizona-specific articles for a wide variety of legal and business publications.

He also engaged in solo practice for a number of years prior to becoming a founding partner of Walker & Peskind.
