Steven M. Guttell (Of Counsel)
Steve's practice focuses on providing client advice, with an emphasis on employment and labor law. His expertise includes wrongful discharge, wage and hour, discrimination, harassment, individual employment contract applicability, and other employment related issues.
Steve was a trial attorney with the U. S. Department of Labor in Washington, D.C. and New York City, handling, among other matters, exemption classification disputes under the Fair Labor Standards Act. One of his cases was cited when the Department rewrote its exemption regulations. Steve has been involved in a number of unique cases, one of which was broadcast on Court TV.
Steve is a frequent lecturer and author on a variety of employment and labor law topics.
Prior Affiliations
Prior to joining Walker & Peskind, Steve spent almost 28 years with Gust Rosenfeld PLC, one of the oldest and most respected law firms in Arizona. Prior to coming to Arizona, Steve was a staff attorney for seven years with the U.S. Department of Labor.
